The main aim of this website is to disseminate relevant and timely information on major insect pests that might threaten the turf and ornamental industry in Tennessee. Our research and Extension program revolves around Integrated Pest Management (IPM). This is achieved through understanding the basic biology and life history of emerging and invasive insect pests in Tennessee, their host range, abundance, phenology and management as well as identifying any knowledge gaps with the existing pests. Additionally, our lab is interested in projects that focus on non-chemical control of pests, mainly trapping and biological control.
